1. Information We Collect
- Account Details: Name, username, email address, phone number, profile photo, profession, and other profile fields you choose to share.
- Authentication Data: Password hashes, session tokens, device identifiers, and PINs used to secure Chat and Finance features.
- Communications: Chat messages, attachments, call logs, voice notes, typing indicators, and metadata required to deliver and sync messages.
- Financial Activity: Wallet balances, currency accounts, transaction history, KYC documents, payment preferences, merchant enrollment data, and fraud-prevention signals.
- Content and Engagement: Feed posts, comments, reactions, shares, stories, bookmarks, and analytics about how you interact with content.
- Device and Usage Data: App version, device model, operating system, IP address, timestamps, crash logs, network performance, and telemetry that helps us monitor reliability.
2. How We Use Your Information
- Provide, operate, and maintain Chat, Finance, Feed, and related features.
- Authenticate users, secure accounts, and enforce privacy settings.
- Process transactions, display balances, manage payment instruments, and deliver receipts.
- Offer customer support, handle disputes, and respond to legal inquiries.
- Detect, investigate, and prevent fraud, abuse, spam, or security incidents.
- Personalize content recommendations, feed ranking, and engagement summaries.
- Communicate updates, announcements, and changes to the App or this Policy.
- Comply with legal, regulatory, tax, and accounting obligations.
3. Sharing and Disclosure
- Service Providers: We share information with hosting providers, analytics vendors, communications platforms, payment processors, KYC and AML partners, and customer-support tools under contractual safeguards.
- Financial Institutions: Transaction routing may require sharing wallet, account, or identity details with banks, card networks, or settlement partners.
- Contacts and Recipients: When you send messages or payments, recipient users may see your name, username, avatar, and transaction context consistent with your privacy settings.
- Legal Requirements: We may disclose information to law enforcement or regulators when legally required or to protect rights, property, or safety.
- Business Transfers: In the event of a merger, acquisition, or asset sale, user information may transfer as part of the transaction, subject to this Policy.
We do not sell personal data to third parties.
4. Chat Tab Specific Practices
- Messages and attachments are encrypted in transit and stored using backend infrastructure to provide replay, syncing, and search features.
- Typing indicators, read receipts, call status, and online presence are processed only for conversations where those features are enabled.
- You may adjust privacy controls to limit who can contact you, who can add you to groups, and whether you broadcast online status or read receipts.
- We retain chat content for the duration necessary to support user experience, legal retention requirements, and safety investigations. Deleted messages may persist in limited backups for disaster recovery.
5. Finance Tab Specific Practices
- We collect KYC information, national identifiers (where required), proof-of-identity documents, and compliance attestations to enable wallet services.
- Financial data is processed to display balances, recent transactions, statistics, currency accounts, and quick actions (add money, send money, merchant services, NFC tap, QR payments).
- We store PINs using secure hashing and enforce verification flows to access sensitive actions.
- Transaction metadata (amounts, currency, counterparties) is logged for reconciliation, fraud monitoring, regulatory reporting, and customer support.
- We partner with regulated financial institutions that may retain copies of your information to satisfy their obligations.
6. Feed Tab Specific Practices
- Public posts, stories, comments, reactions, shares, and engagement metrics may be visible to other users subject to your audience settings.
- Media uploads are stored to support story playback, image viewers, and reaction analytics.
- We maintain moderation logs and automated signals to enforce community guidelines and detect policy violations.
- Interactions such as likes, reactions, and comments are attributed to your profile and may be displayed to the content owner and other viewers.
7. Cookies and Similar Technologies
- Although the App is primarily native, embedded web views or authentication flows may use cookies, local storage, or device tokens to maintain sessions and preferences.
- Push notification tokens and background refresh identifiers are stored to deliver timely alerts.
8. Data Retention
- We retain personal data for as long as your account is active or as needed to deliver services, comply with laws, resolve disputes, or enforce agreements.
- Financial records, KYC data, and audit logs may be kept for extended periods required by regulation.
- If you delete your account, we will deactivate access and begin deletion processes, subject to lawful retention requirements.
9. Your Rights and Choices
- Access, update, or correct your profile information via the Profile tab.
- Adjust Chat privacy, notification, and security settings within the Privacy & Security screen.
- Manage SMS consent preferences, marketing opt-ins, and notification channels directly in the App.
- Request a copy of your data, ask for deletion (subject to legal limits), or file objections using in-app support or the designated privacy contact.
- Disable analytics or marketing communications where offered; core transactional and security notifications may remain mandatory.
10. Security Measures
- We implement encryption, secure credential storage, access controls, network protection, and regular monitoring to protect personal data.
- Despite safeguards, no system is immune from breaches. Report suspicious activity immediately so we can investigate and mitigate.
11. International Transfers
- Your data may be processed in countries where we or our service providers operate. We use standard contractual clauses or equivalent safeguards to protect cross-border transfers.
12. Children’s Privacy
- The App is not directed to individuals under the age of 13 (or the minimum age of digital consent in your jurisdiction). We do not knowingly collect data from children. If we learn that we collected such data, we will delete it promptly.
13. Changes to This Policy
- We may update this Privacy Policy periodically. We will notify you of material changes through in-app alerts, email, or other reasonable means. Continued use after the effective date indicates acceptance of the revised Policy.
